DC01
Launched in 1993, DC01 was the first vacuum to not lose suction. It was first for a lot of other things too. While James had been busy developing his cyclone technology, he'd listed all the other annoyances with conventional vacuum cleaners - then fixed them one by one. A stair hose that stretches to the top of stairs; on-board tools; tough ABS plastic construction; edge cleaning; a clear bin (although people thought it would never take off at first); a carry handle and many others. All quite obvious if you think about it. It's just no other vacuum manufacturer ever had.
